Editorial Policy
The Aligner Guide publishes independent, source-backed general information
about clear aligners in New Zealand. This page explains how we source,
review, and correct our content.
Sources
Health-related pages cite New Zealand authorities first: the Dental
Council of New Zealand, Orthodontics New Zealand, and the Health and
Disability Commissioner. Where those sources do not answer a question, we
say so rather than fill the gap with unsupported claims.
Authorship and review
Pages are written by The Aligner Guide editorial team and checked against
the cited sources. They are not clinically reviewed unless a named,
verifiable registered clinician has reviewed them — and no page currently
claims such a review.
What we do not publish
We do not publish unsourced prices, treatment durations, complication
rates, or comparative-superiority claims. We do not invent clinicians,
patient stories, testimonials, awards, or review dates.
Corrections
If a page contains an error, correct it and update the page. To report an
error, use the sources-and-corrections route.
Update cadence
Pages carry a "Sources checked" date. We re-check sources when a page is
updated or when the cited authorities change their guidance.
