What questions should I ask about cost and payment?

Clear aligner treatment involves real costs, and those costs vary with the

case, the practitioner, and the plan. This page lists the questions to ask

before committing — it does not quote prices, because published figures

without a source would be misleading.

This page explains the components of cost and the questions to ask. It

cannot tell you what your treatment will cost, because that depends on an

assessment and a written plan.

Questions about cost and finance

• What exactly is included in the quoted cost — records, all aligner

• What is excluded, and what could add cost later?
• How are payments structured, and what happens if treatment stops early?
• What is the cancellation policy, and what are the fees if I cancel?
• Is financing available, and what are the terms and interest?

Ask for a written itemised plan. If a provider will not put the cost and

terms in writing, treat that as a warning sign.
